Drayton and Farlington Safer Neighbourhood is situated to the north of Portsea Island. It includes the area of East Cosham. This is primarily a residential area with the majority of housing privately owned. This is one of the more affluent areas of Portsmouth with low unemployment. Havant Road is the main arterial road which dissects the Neighbourhood. A parade of shops is located in this road and this serves as the heart of the community. There is a community centre at this location.

There are a number of parks and open spaces in the area including Drayton Park, Zetland Park and 40 acres farms. The area also includes a small section of the M27 motorway and a nature reserve which is frequented by bird watchers.
